The Taiwan - Reyhanli Centre for World Citizens

Music education

The Taiwan Reyhanli Centre runs a Music Education Programme for Syrian refugee children and vulnerable children living on the Turkish border. Saeb, the centre’s current Arabic teacher, commutes over an hour each day by bus from her home to the centre, driven by her passion for music and her desire to make a positive impact on the lives of these children.

Saeb is also a composer and performing artist with over thirty years of experience in music and other musical arts. For her, music is not just a hobby but a way of life, and she looks forward to contributing to the lives of these children so that they can experience the healing power of music and find relief from the pain caused by war through melody.

The programme offers music lessons once a week, providing a valuable creative outlet for these children and a chance to develop their musical skills.
