Arabic Calligraphy Project

Arabic calligraphy serves as an important avenue for Muslim artists to freely create and express their admiration for Allah, their love for aesthetics, and their reverence for inspiration. To provide an opportunity for displaced refugees to learn about their native art and culture, the Centre offers Arabic calligraphy courses. The courses were intended for Syrian refugee women and school children. The Arabic Calligraphy programme started in November 2022. Courses were held three times a week, with each lesson lasting for one hour. Over 30 individuals have benefited from the program since the start of the course.
