Roza, a woman from Syria, represents the struggles and resilience of countless #refugees in pursuit of safety. 🔥 The prolonged war in Syria forced her and her family to leave their beloved Aleppo, and embark on a challenging journey.
In Syria, daily tasks such as fetching water were laborious 💧. This life became even more unbearable when their homeland was engulfed in warfare, and Roza found it impossible to provide adequate protection for her family. 🚀 Faced with constant bombings and the unpredictability of daily life, Roza made the difficult decision as a #mother to leave her home and seek refuge in Turkey for the safety of her children.
The journey for Roza and her family to escape Syria was anything but easy, involving a tedious and perilous trek over mountains 🏔️ until they finally arrived in Turkey. Reflecting on that time, Roza felt fear and uncertainty, but she believed Turkey would offer them safety and opportunities 🌟, so she persisted in bringing her children there for #education, laying a solid foundation for their future.
In Turkey, Roza and her family eventually found safety and stability. The children returned to #school 🏫, beginning a normal and stable life, once again enjoying the playful and educational environment suitable for children. Roza also joined the women’s weaving #workshop at the Taiwan Center, participating in our “1001 Meows” project. 🧶 With income from personally crafted #Meow Drawstring Pouches and other #weaving works, she provided economic support for her family and found new meaning in life for herself and her family. 🍀
Through the Taiwan Center’s “1001 Meow” project, Roza and other women not only found new #employment but, more importantly, discovered the strength of mutual support and collective effort in crafting handicrafts. They are weaving a new life with their own hands. Every purchased “Meow Drawstring Pouch” represents support and blessings for these courageous women, letting them know that their efforts and creativity are acknowledged and bringing endless possibilities for their future. 🎈
