【Exploring the Beauty of Taiwanese Architecture: The Wonderful Journey of Dayuan High School and Children】

In this era of digital communication, cross-border learning has become a reality. International digital buddies from Dayuan High School in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, have embarked on a fascinating journey about “#architecture” with children from Syria in Reyhanli, Turkey. Through the power of the internet, these students are bridging geographical boundaries to share knowledge and cultural experiences.

Led by buddies Eli, Alvin, Eason, and Carlyn, the students delve into the world of architecture, starting with representative works of modern architecture in Taiwan. One such highlight is the iconic “#Taipei101”, formerly the world’s tallest building. As they explore this architectural marvel, the buddies showcase not only its towering presence but also its innovative structural features, including the Tuned Mass Damper that safeguards the skyscraper against strong winds and earthquakes.

Continuing their journey, the students discover other architectural gems in Taiwan, such as the #HighSpeedRailwayStation. Here, they explore unique station designs like the #ChanghuaStation, amidst picturesque farmland, and the award-winning #HsinchuStation, designed by renowned architect #YaoRenXi. As they immerse themselves in these architectural wonders, the children gain a deeper appreciation for the ingenuity and creativity behind Taiwan’s modern infrastructure.

Transitioning to traditional architecture, the students are treated to the architectural elegance of #Sanheyuan (traditional courtyard houses) and the serene ambiance of the renowned #LongshanTemple. Through this immersive experience, they not only appreciate the beauty of Taiwanese architecture but also gain insights into the cultural values embedded within these structures.

This initiative exemplifies the transformative power of education in fostering global citizenship and building bridges of understanding between nations. Through digital connectivity and cultural exchange, these students are shaping a brighter, more interconnected future, where learning knows no bounds. 🌍✨
