Following the 30-day Ramadan, Muslims around the world will celebrate #Eid, a festival symbolizing reunion and selflessness. Many will exchange Eid gifts signifying friendship and generosity.
In this spirit, as Eid fast approaches us, Taiwan Center once again demonstrates its #socialresponsibility and #compassion by teaming up with Maram Foundation and Visions for Children to provide food assistance to vulnerable families in Reyhanlı. This aid, in the form of Eid gifts, brings warmth and hope to those in need. 🤝
Maram Foundation, based at Taiwan Center, has long been dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees and displaced individuals. This time, their focus is on the Reyhanlı community, deeply affected by the 2023 earthquake in Turkey. 🙌 Under the shadow of disaster, life has become even more challenging for these vulnerable families, especially for women and disabled individuals.
We conducted food assistance events on March 30th and April 2nd 🌾, distributing 150 parcels of food supplies 📦, including essential items like oil, salt, sugar, and some long-lasting dry goods. Though seemingly small, these supplies hold great significance for these families. With meager incomes, many struggle to afford to feed their families, and providing these basic supplies can help to alleviate their economic burden while helping them maintain a decent #diet quality. These supplies are not just food supplements but also a source of solace and support, showing them the care and warmth of society.
The success of this initiative not only underscores Taiwan Center’s mission and values as a #humanitarian organization but also emphasizes the importance of #collaboration among different organizations in humanitarian efforts. 🌍 In this world, we are all partners, and we should work together to build a warmer and better #society.
