【Unveiling the Pain Behind Leather: Struggles and Hopes of Displaced Youth】

Taiwan Center has become a refuge for many Syrians displaced by the tragic war. In Mr. Waddah’s #workshop, delicately crafted leather pieces adorn the space. Three energetic, hardworking young individuals have joined the workshop.

The brutal war forced these three young individuals and their families to flee Syria, destroying their homes and shattering their futures. They risked their lives crossing the Syrian-Turkish border, settling like other surviving Syrians in Turkey, but this was only the beginning of their hardship. 🏠💔

🎓One of these young men, Abd al-Warith, was accepted into the computer #engineering program at Bingol University in Turkey after graduating from high school. However, the $500 tuition per semester, plus living expenses and other necessary costs, were too much for him to afford as a #displaced youth. 🎓The second student, Ammar, was admitted to the health science program at Aydin University and had to pay $500 in monthly tuition, a staggering expense for an average family. 🎓The third student, Abd al-Rahman, got into the computer engineering program at Karabuk University with a semester tuition of $1000, but the heavy financial burden forced him to give up further #education. 📚

The harsh living conditions prevented these three young individuals from attending college as planned. Fortunately, the Taiwan Center provided part-time jobs, ensuring they had enough income to meet their #basic living needs. However, the Taiwan Center is not their ultimate destination; they should return to university to complete their studies. Until then, Taiwan Center will continue to play a supportive role, 🌟caring for their families, encouraging these young individuals to focus on their careers, and collectively creating a brighter future through their #knowledge and efforts. 💡🕊️

If you’d like to help these positively driven yet forcibly displaced young individuals, purchase delicately crafted leather or woven #artworks made by refugees through Taiwan Center’s online shopping platform, or support Taiwan Center’s operations through #donations. Additionally, we invite all compassionate individuals to help spread the word about the Taiwan Center, encouraging more people to join the support network. 💪
