【HerDream: Fatima and the Painting “Horses of Freedom”】

“Peace is always beautiful.” ― Walt Whitma

The exterior walls of Taiwan Center are crafted from concrete walls of border #conflict 🧱, yet under the skillful hands of painter Fatima Mansour, this wall is no longer a cold barrier but has been transformed into “Horses of Freedom,” expressing her longing for #freedom and unwavering belief in this. 🐎

Guiding children in painting with her #love and #patience, Fatima, a female artist at Taiwan Center, integrates her beliefs into community education. 🎨Last year, Fatima and fellow artist Abdulbasir organized a children’s painting workshop at Taiwan Center, which worked to inspire their imagination and creativity. These workshops are not just about painting but also about expressing and exploring peace and freedom. 🤝

In addition to her teaching role at the center, Fatima spends her spare time with colorful paint buckets, depicting bits of her daily life and dreams of peace on the center’s walls. 🕊️This sincere pursuit of peace adds to the beauty and poignancy of “Horses of Freedom,” a project that took nearly 5 months to complete. ✨

Under the dome of Taiwan Center’s building, countless women’s hopes are safeguarded. 🏠These resilient women, escaping from Syria with young children, often with husbands injured by war, bear the heavy economic burden of their families as refugees. 💪

Beyond providing emergency shelter, Taiwan Center offers refugee women opportunities for self-reliance through #weaving, #painting, #soap-making, and provides their children with quality educational environments. 📚If you’re willing to contribute to world peace, consider supporting by purchasing women’s #artwork, #handicrafts, or #donations, allowing these brave lives to soar into broader horizons. ❤️
