【Dcard Wave Fest: The Centre for World Citizens Participates in Dcard Community Creators Annual Meeting】

Recently, Taiwan’s largest online anonymous community platform for young people, @dcard.tw, hosted its second annual offline creator conference, “#DcardWaveFest” 🌊. As one of the creators, The Centre for World Citizens successfully ventured into the island exploration. 🏝️

The Centre for World Citizens became part of the Dcard creator community in late 2023 and swiftly gained recognition, ranking 9th on the Dcard creator leaderboard in the #socialissues category 🏆 On the event day, we entered the venue with creativity and passion, eagerly participating in exchanging experiences and interactions with fellow creators to showcase the The Centre for World Citizens, emanating warmth and hope within our hearts. 🌟

As our team from the The Centre for World Citizens arrived at the venue, a mix of excitement and nerves filled us, contemplating how to connect with creators from diverse backgrounds and effectively spread awareness of refugee issues in this huge community. 🌱 Our aim of this event is to spotlight and foster appreciation for the craftsmanship and creativity of Syrian refugee women. 💡 To initiate conversations, we opted for the adorable #SheepBackpacks as icebreakers, sharing our works with other #handcraft creators.

The core mission of the The Centre for World Citizens is dedicated to aiding Syrian refugees and those impacted by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, to rebuild their lives and aim for “a more equitable life.”  🤝 We accomplish the goal by providing job opportunities for refugee women, empowering them to regain stability through their skills. Additionally, we are dedicated to ensuring equal access to #education for refugee children 📚, offering diverse classes including language and skills courses, guiding them towards a hopeful future.

The Centre for World Citizens’ s successful participation in Dcard Wave Fest not only facilitated meaningful interactions with other creators but also amplified more awareness and support for Syrian refugees. 🎈 We look forward to participating in more future events hosted by Dcard or other #communities, embracing the opportunities for learning and collaboration with fellow creators. Together, let’s extend a helping hand to vulnerable groups on the brink of conflict and infuse our world with even more warmth and hope! ✨

🌍 We welcome everyone to follow The Centre for World Citizens’ s Dcard account and join us in compassionate discussions about refugee issues 🔗:
